In the End

In the end, there seems to be nothing but a whisper separating us all. Difference, otherness, foreignness seem to be nothing but fast crumbling notions from a history long past.

In the end, we all seem to want and long and yearn for the very same things, need the very same things. No matter our time or place. From the mind, from the spirit, from the body.

Passion. Pleasure. Acknowledgement. Wisdom. Connection. Independence. Knowledge. Mystery. Discovery. Submission. Domination. Control. Freedom. Wonder. Bliss.

Desire. Desire. Desire.

And Love.

If only everyone would give into those root yearnings.
Wonderfully written :-)

Standing apart, standing on the outside, looking through the glass at what everyone else has and you don't. That's EVERYONE'S lot in life. We're all like that, all of us outside looking in, all of us wanting that warmth and passion and love. If more of us would reach out to each other, the world would be a lot happier place.

Longing. Desire. Release. (repeat) Beautiful post.

"Whisper separating us all" so true and nice to know you feel it too - I'm starting to like the commune idea.

I gaze into the night sky, and, out of the teeming mass of "Pinholes in the Curtain of Night", a few stars always shine brighter than the rest.

Sometimes more than just a whisper separates the best from masses.

We all have similar needs and wants. But some are better at fulfilling those needs than others.

And some Stars are more desired than the rest.

May we all strive to be that Shining Star, rather than another dull planetary reflection or some other dying celestial object.

Only then can Desire, and Love be its strongest. Its most fulfilling.

Yes, yes . . . we do.

I couldn't have said it any better

SG and Frenchy: Thank you, my lovelies! Start pitching the tents, gals, I'll be there for the love fest as soon as I can jump on a plane, train or automobile. Or boat, or life raft... ;)

Topaz: I couldn't agree more. Thank you so much. :)

PB: Yes, it would. And perhaps a saner and more tolerant one also. Thank you...

Ella: Thank you so much. At times it feels as if an idea of a whisper is even too great. I definitely feel it. Every day of late. And it is nice to know I'm not alone also.

I, too, am liking that commune idea more and more myself.

Muffin: I agree that some are better at fulfilling those needs (for themselves and for others). As long as the fates are on their side.

And in the end, much like you, I think that a certain alignment is required for Love and Desire to shine bright, true and pure. Thank you.

Dewey: Thank you so much. And since this commune idea is starting to bare an uncanny resemblance to your
"Hot Blogger Island" (hmmm, as long as we all qualify!), is there any chance you could get your plans out?!

That should be "bear" not "bare", Dewberry! It seems my exhibitionism is taking over my ability to articulate... ;)

I love this one. In the end we do all long for the same things.

We most certainly do. And I am grateful to know there are so many of us yearning for the very same. Thank you...
